Ronnie O'Sullivan - Snooker - Greatest 147

I have been an avid follower of the game of pool and snooker. I learnt the game of pool during my 1st year of Undergraduation from one of my close friends, Deepak Gadi, who at present is doing his Masters in IT from Australia. He is the person who taught me Pool and Snooker. Deepak is an amazing sportsperson with allround capabilities. He won Gold Medal twice in the Inter-College Tennis Tournament and also got selected to represent Punjab Technical University. Besides tennis he was a very good player of cricket, table tennis, soccer and cards which I used to like the least.

After trying hands on the pool table for a while, Deepak introduced me to the game of Snooker and playing once, I always preferred the game of snooker over pool because the game itself is so interesting and riveting. After learning the game I started playing with my brother, Sukhbir who learnt the game so fast and we both enjoyed playing together. My dad is also a very good player of snooker but never got a chance to play with him. Hopefully, when I go back home to India in December, I would be able to manage playing him.

One of my very good friends, Razesh Pilla, showed me the video and immediately thought of putting it onto my blog. This the best frame of snooker ever played. A maximum in 5 minutes!!! This video is of Ronnie O'Sullivan of England and he's nicknamed is 'The Rocket'. Given his nicknames due to the blisteringly fast rate at which he usually plays. Has won two World Championships (most recently in 2004) and compiled the five fastest maximum 147 breaks so far recorded. The top two of these (5'20" in 1997 and 6'30" in 2003 [3]) were both achieved during World Championships, making O'Sullivan the only player to date to compile more than one career maximum at the Crucible. Also noted for his ability to cue with his other hand (in O'Sullivan's case, his left hand) to a high standard. Considered by many the greatest natural snooker talent yet found.
