Can't get better than this!!

I keep on repeating myself saying that I have always been blessed with such good friends through out my life so far that I can't even complain about anything else a little bit. Well, my birthday was around the corner and my friends had already planned out what they are gonna do this time. Birthday is a day when one gets a special treatment from the poeple around you no matter what kind of a person one is ;) The very incident happened to me during my childhood days always remind me that one can do whatever he or she wants on his her birthday!! I still remember very clrearly the occasion when I used to study in 'Meadow Brook School', Mohali (I studied here from Nursery to 1st grade and can't escape mentioning that how mcuh I used to cry for going to this school - my mom had to literally drag me to get to the school) and it was one of those birthday times. There were two teachers of whom we all kids used to be scared of, Big Madam (Principal of the school) and Banta madam, so it was my birthday and early morning I had a fight with one of my friends and I was beating the hell out of him (one can easily imagine when I say I was beating the hell out of him, how intensely two toddlers can get into a serious brawl) and suddenly I realized Banta madam coming towards us. It really scared me a lot and I had accepted the fact for a moment that it is going to be a nightmare for me from that point onwards. I was very sure that she had seen me pushing and throwing my friend on the floor, no excuse was coming to my mind that I could give it to her and she was approaching towards me in such a manner that she's gonna slap me right there and then but Lord I can't believe what happened next. She came towards us, picked up my friend from the floor and my friend started crying, started complaining to Banta Madam that Sonu (name by which my family and most of my childhood friends call me with) was beating me for no reason. On this Banta Madam replied "So what, its his birthday and he can do whatever he wants" and she happily passed on from there. Man a big sigh came out of me and it made me feel that I was King for that particular moment, I ridiculed my friend like anything.

So my whole point behind all of this story was that everytime your birthday comes and you get a special treatment fromt the people around you. Sometimes it gives you a sense of your mere existence (may be I am exaggerating too much here...) and a feeling of satisfaction runs around you when people wish you from all around the world no matter where they are and no matter how late they are calling (Few of my friends wished me a couple of days after thinking that my birthday was on some other day) but all accepted!!

This time I was invited by Homarjun and his wife, Vandana in Fort Worth and no mentioning that I had a real good time and got the "SPECIAL" treatment. More than the invitation I was just shocked seeing the present that they had bought for me, for a moment I had no clue what to say or how to react but really I want to thanks Homarjun, Vandana and few of my special friends who turned up for the occasion amidst their busy schedules. To add more into it, before leaving Homarjun's place on Sunday, we had a real feast for the breakfast that I can't forget at all...those aaloo and capsicum paranthas were just awesome, all credit goes to none other than (ofcourse not to Homarjun) Vandana!! The list doesn't end here, we also had the luxury of having Gaajar ka halwa, Puri Chole, brownie with ice cream the day before...I know its mouth watering stuff for the ones who are reading this post..... all thanks to Vandana ji!!!! No denying the fact that I also enjoyed having 15 years old Glenfiddich along with the company of friends....woh kehte hain na "khub jamegi jab aap, hum aur Glenn ho saath to khub jamegi shaam" Rest
laters!!

Nice, verry nice! I am all smiles after reading this post. I wonder if you `only' ridiculed your friend when Banta madam left or continued from where you had left, after the short break! :D
and of course.. Happy Birthday.. again! :)

Hahahaha...good one!! Hey you already know that I usually don't make fun of others..aise hi logon ne badnaam kar rakha hai ;) The most funny part here is that I don't even remember that guy with whom I had a brawl!!

Hmm the incident sounds very roady of you. But now I know the treatments you got from me were passed over to some one else ;) Mr Rondu.

Sukhbir

Hahaha...good one!! Yeah I still remember the bashing I used to get from you even for playing cricket at the backyard...but ultimately I had to vent out my anger on someone na ;) Anyways those were the good childhood times spent together!!
